If it's your first visit to the Maldives, then starting off at
the Rhiveli is no bad idea. With less than 50 bungalows, it has
a lovely atmosphere, and of course the views out to sea, whatever
the time of day or night, are to be reincarnated for.
Twice-daily snorkelling trips around the island are a great way
to make friends, both above and below the waves, and a friendly
party atmosphere revolves around meal times.
The staff embody all the traditions of legendary Maldivian hospitality,
so much so that many first-time visitors (a large proportion are
from Europe, and especially France, so the resort is extra-busy
in August) end up returning time and again. And there's no better
recommendation, really. |
